We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Lending / Real Estate Law Clerk for a part-time opportunity with a well-established full-service law firm in Toronto.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional looking to work in a supportive and fast-paced environment while handling sophisticated commercial lending and real estate transactions.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting with and managing commercial lending and real estate files from start to finish

  • Working closely with lawyers within the commercial real estate and lending group

  • Preparing, reviewing, and organizing loan and security documentation

  • Coordinating transaction closings with clients, financial institutions, and third parties

  • Managing file organization and ensuring deadlines are consistently met

  • Communicating professionally with clients, lenders, and legal professionals throughout the transaction process

  • Assisting with various commercial and real estate matters as required

  • Residential real estate experience is considered an asset

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Diploma from a recognized Ontario Law Clerk program

  • Certification with The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario is preferred

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial lending and real estate

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Professional and client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management abilities

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files efficiently
